Ann Marie Morris

 Ann Marie Morris, age 84, departed this life on November 24, 2025, in her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Ann was born to Darvin and Mathilda Olson on October 24, 1941, in Tyler, Minnesota. Ann was an only child, and she spent her early years in Clovis, New Mexico.

 She had a lifelong love for music and was an active member of her church choir. She also played the flute in her high school band, which both her daughters later played as well. While in Clovis, Ann met the love of her life and husband of 62 years, Lewis Morris Jr., who served in the U.S. Air Force.

 Ann was proud to work for Southwestern Bell as an operator until she became a mother to her two precious girls, Kimberly and Natalie. In 1971, Ann and her family moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma, and Ann went back to work for Southwestern Bell. She worked her way up to operator manager until she retired in 1991 to take on the role of full-time grandmother.

 She and Lewis raised their granddaughter, Shelby. Ann kept busy volunteering with all the activities that Shelby pursued, including their shared love of music. Ann will forever be remembered and cherished in the memories of all the lives she touched.

 Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Mathilda Olson; her father, Darvin F. Olson; and her daughter, Kimberly Shalan. Ann will forever be remembered and carried on in the hearts of all who loved her, especially by her husband of 62 years, Lewis Morris Jr.; her daughter Natalie and husband, Scott Lindsey; and her three grandchildren: Logan and wife, Alyssa Lindsey; Blane and wife, Camille Lindsey; and Shelby Morris and partner, Jarrett Szczepaniak.

The family would like to extend an enormous thank-you to SSM Dr. A. C. Vyas and his team for the 40+ years of care; Dr. Rajesh Kumar and his team at Fresenius Midtown for the 12+ years of care; and the Suncrest Hospice team, who provided Ann with excellent care and compassion. We are forever grateful for these teams and all they have done.
