Debra Jean West (aka Debbie) born February 22 1965 to Joe and Effie Tee of Norman Oklahoma. Deb departed this world on April 26 2025 to be with her Lord and Savior. Debbie leaves behind her husband Steve West, stepson Cole, mother and father, Joe and Effie, brother Brian, sisters Doreen and Chris, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Debbie graduated Oklahoma University with a bachelor's degree in arts. Her goal was to travel the world and apply the multiple languages she had studied so long for. Her dream was cut short due to illness at a young age. Debbie pushed forward with life and maintained a resilient attitude. She met her husband Steve and together they made the perfect pair. Both there for each other in tough times. Debbie is praised by many and thought to be superwoman. She overcame so many obstacles in life all while maintaining a smile. She worried more about others than herself. Debbie was all about family and her fur babies. She loved getting together with her family to watch OU football and cook out. Her fur babies would get more attention than Steve. She had a big heart for rescue pups and often visited the second chance shelter to spread her love on the pups. At one point she had 7 dogs to care for. Each of them with their own personalities. But she gave each of them the attention they wanted and deserved. When Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer, she did not let it defeat her moral. She said “I will not let this disease overcome my spirit”. She fought her way through the next 9 years. Along the way adding additional health issues. Debbie was a fighter till the end and never let her health play a role in her personality or demeanor. She was a lovely soul and loved by many. She will be greatly missed by all. If she had one last thing to say, I believe it would be this. “Live with and love those around you each and every day. Don’t let anger or greed get in your way. We are all destined for a greater place, so be ready when you get there”.
