It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fines Joe Adams III, who passed away peacefully at his home on January 25th, 2026, at the age of 73.
Born on June 7, 1952, in Oklahoma City, to Fines Joe Adams Jr. and Patricia Ann Adams, Joe was a highly skilled craftsman in the fields of cabinetry and carpentry. His unwavering dedication to quality and precision quickly earned him a reputation, and the demand for his services grew exponentially over his 50+ year career. Joe’s commitment to excellence in every project he undertook made him a respected figure in his trade.
Joe met the love of his life, Kathy Adams, while both attending Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. They were married on October 9th, 1970, and shared 55 years of love-filled days together. Together they had their son, Eric, in 1972, which was the joy of Joe’s life.
More than anything, Joe loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and found immense joy in the company of his loved ones.
Outside of his professional life, Joe was an avid muscle car enthusiast. Over the years, he owned numerous unique hot rods, many of which are now highly sought after by collectors. This love for cars was something he shared with his son, Eric, and his grandson, Cooper. Joe spent countless hours with them, working on their personal projects, either lending a helping hand or giving his experienced advice.
Joe is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Kathy; son, Eric; daughter-in-law, Andi; grandson, Cooper; brother, Henry; sister, Lisa; niece, Sarah; nephews, Russell, Ray, Trey, and Donovan; and many other cherished relatives and friends.
