Lexye Ann Tomlinson

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Lexye Ann Ensley Tomlinson.

Lexye passed peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of May 23, 2026, at the age of 82.

A woman of extraordinary strength, she built a life defined by devotion. She was known for her hard work, patience, bright, beautiful smile, infectious laugh, compassion, and love for her family. She was always there with a listening ear and a warm embrace.

Whether she was working, painting, gardening, singing, playing the piano, or simply running errands, she approached everything with love and care. Through her 40 years in the field of education as an elementary school teacher, and later retiring as a school principal, she taught us the importance of hard work, kindness, and perseverance.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her 2 children, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
