Maryann Willhight

Maryann Willhight, 80, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2026.

She was born on July 30, 1946, and raised in Long Branch, New Jersey. On August 13, 1965, Maryann married the love of her life, Thomas Willhight. Together, they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage built on mutual devotion, family, and enduring love. For the past 48 years, she made Choctaw her home, creating a warm and welcoming haven for family and friends alike.

Known for her gentle spirit and sweet, caring nature, Maryann made everyone feel loved. She had a profound, lifelong passion for animals that extended into her work as the former owner of Somebody's Darlin' pet grooming salon in Choctaw. Through her salon and daily life, she offered a gentle heart and a caring hand to countless pets, wildlife, and the people who loved them.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Willhight; her beloved sons and daughters-in-law, Grant and Maria Willhight, and Micah and Sara Willhight; her cherished grandchildren, Bonham Eckleberry, Jessica Kennedy, Alex Cox, Brody Bockelman, Ian Willhight, and Danika Willhight; and extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hibbs Funeral Home, located in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
