Nellwyn Louise Carlton

Nellwyn Louise Carlton born May 21 ,1944 passed away May 18, 2025. Nellwyn was a lifelong resident of the community she loved, Warner OK. She graduated from Warner High School in 1962 and married Don W. Carlton on July 29, 1962 and had 3 sons, Roger, Rodney, and Ryan. She owned and operated Nellwyn’s Beauty Salon until the early 1980s when she decided to go back to school, earning a Master’s Degree in education. She spent most of her teaching career in Stigler, OK at both Stigler High School and Kiamichi Technology Center. Nellwyn also loved going to garage sales with her close friends, which is where she could be found most Saturday mornings.

Nellwyn is preceded in death by her husband Don; sons, Roger Carlton and Rodney Carlton; and grandson Rocky. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son Ryan Carlton and wife Kristy; Grandchildren, Colton Carlton, Collin Carlton, Brandy Crossland, Taylor Purdom, Shayla Sloan, River Carlton, Raine Carlton , Madison Carlton, Michael Carlton, Meagan Carlton, Maya Carlton; close family members Becky Carlton-Parker and Kristen Carlton; and host of family and friends. 

Memorial Services are 10:00am Wednesday June 4, 2025 at Warner First Baptist Church under the direction of Hibbs Funeral Home.
