Roger William Kilmer, 75, of Taloga, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Roger was born on February 4, 1951, in Boynton, Oklahoma, to John and Dema Kilmer. He attended Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma City and went on to build a long, successful career in the oilfield and pipeline industry, where his hard work, dedication, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of many before his well-deserved retirement.
On September 22, 1984, Roger married the love of his life, Janet Lynn Williams. Together they built a life centered around love, family, and devotion. On January 23, 1986, Roger and Janet welcomed their only son, Douglas, who became one of Roger’s greatest sources of pride and joy. Roger was deeply proud of the man Douglas became and cherished the life he built with his family.
Roger is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife, Janet Lynn Kilmer.
He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, including his son Douglas Kilmer; daughter-in-law Brittany Kilmer; and his treasured granddaughter, Harper Kilmer, all of Taloga, Oklahoma. Roger’s love for Harper was immeasurable, and some of his greatest joy in retirement came from spending time with her, watching her grow, celebrating her accomplishments, and creating memories she will carry forever. He was a proud and devoted Papa who adored his granddaughter beyond words.
Roger is also survived by his brother Jim Kilmer and wife Marla of Mustang, Oklahoma; brother Ricky Kilmer of Tulsa, Oklahoma; along with many extended family members and friends who will miss his wisdom, humor, and unwavering love.
In his retirement, Roger found his greatest happiness in the simple but meaningful moments spent with family. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying time with those he loved most, Roger’s legacy is one of strength, loyalty, and deep family devotion.
Roger will be remembered as a loving husband, proud father, devoted Papa, and loyal brother. His long talks, steady presence, and unconditional love will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him.
