Russell Dale Beaver was born on June 9, 1974 in Salem, Ohio/ He passed away on April 18, 2025 with nothing but love surrounding hm. Rusty spent the majority of his life in McLoud, Oklahoma where he built a forever home for his wife, kids, and grandkids. Around the age of seven, Rusty met Matt and Kirk Petty and around the age of twelve, he met Nicolas Morales, who all turned into lifelong friends and family. In 1992, Rusty met the love of his life, Beverly. In October of 1993, Rusty and Beverly welcomed their first son, Luke. Both being young, they chose to give him a better life. In 1996, Rusty welcomed his second son Dustin Dale Beaver with Connie. It wasn’t until 2015 when Rusty and Beverly reconnected and instantly fell in love again. In 2017, Rusty welcomed his first grandkids Susan Newlon and Alex Murray, Jr. In 2018, he welcomed his second granddaughter Kloey Newlon. In 2019 he welcomed his second grandson Elijah Murray. In 2021 he got blessed with his third granddaughter whom he unfortunately never got to meet. In 2021 he also got to welcome his first biological grandson Callen Dale Beaver. In 2022 he welcomed his fourth grandson Easten Murray. In 2023 he welcomed his fifth grandson Finley Newlon and 2024 welcomed his fourth granddaughter Klover Newlon who he changed the name to Everly Newlon. In 2024 he welcomed his fifth granddaughter Mazikeen. Over Rusty’s life, he accumulated many, many friends who were more like family including Jerry Hunter whom he looked up to most of his life.
Rusty was a man of all trades. Working for Mort’s salvage yard for fifteen years, it wasn’t until 2017 when he got the opportunity to switch paths and went to work for the city of McLoud. Rusty has served the citizens of McLoud tirelessly as a McLoud Public Works employee. It didn’t matter if he was crawling in the sewers, fixing a water leak, road repair, building repair, or any work order, you can guarantee Rusty was there ready to help. Rusty was promoted to PWA Foreman in 2023 and was responsible for the day-to-day activities of McLoud Public Works Authority under the direction of the city manager/Public Works Director. Whenever Rusty was called to duty, he responded, no matter the time or circumstance, even if he was on the boat in the middle of the lake. His dedication to the city of McLoud was unmatched.
In the small amount of free time Rusty would get, he took passion in meeting up with friends and family to go mudding. You could always catch Rusty burning tires, or flooring the side by side through a muddy hole. He also enjoyed racing cars, and seeing who could get there faster. “If you aren’t first, you’re last” as Rusty would say. During more of Rusty’s free time, he loved to go fishing, hunting, or just simply watching his favorite show or movies. Anything that had Adam Sandler in it caught his eye. Outside of his love for racing, fishing, or hunting, you could almost always find one of papa’s sidekicks right there by his side. If papa had it, so did his babies. From taking them on rides on the side by sides, driving them around in the bucket of the backhoe, teaching them to jump off the bucket of the backhoe into the pool, taking them donuts just because he can he said and telling them funny jokes to tell their parents, or smart comebacks, he never failed to make sure his babies knew papa had their back. Rusty also enjoyed spoiling his wife. If she wanted it, he got it. One of his favorite things he enjoyed doing for her was their Friday night date nights, or a little trip to the casino. He never failed to make her smile. Anyone who knew Rusty, knew what it was like to have a real friend, a real family member and never had to question his loyalty. This world will be so different without him. He truly made a impact wherever he went.
