Shirley Lee Goodger

April 2, 1946 — January 17, 2026

Spencer

Shirley Lee Goodger, née Larabee, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on April 2, 1946.

Shirley lived a full, vibrant, and memorable life marked by resilience, love, and deep devotion to her family and community. Shirley grew up in The Flats of Oklahoma, where she learned the value of hard work, loyalty, and strong family ties. In her younger years, she embraced adventure through barrel racing, a sport that reflected her fearless spirit and determination. She later worked in a factory, contributing tirelessly with her steady work ethic.

Over the years, Shirley became well known throughout Spencer, Oklahoma, as she rented homes to many in the community and built lifelong connections.

A proud and passionate Oklahoman, Shirley loved anything tied to her home state. She could often be found cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners or the OKC Thunder, sharing in the excitement and pride of the teams she adored.

Family was at the center of Shirley’s world. She was the loving mother of Sherri Lynn Smith, who preceded her in death. Shirley’s love for Sherri lived on through Sherri’s husband, Tom Hall, and through Shirley’s cherished grandchildren: Eric Joesph Smith, Jontee Maurice Hall (deceased), and Dallas Ashley Hall.

Her joy continued through her grandson Eric, and his wife Cyndi, who blessed Shirley with two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Aryka—both of whom brought light and laughter into her life.

Shirley shared many years of companionship with her longtime boyfriend, Don, who passed away two years before her. Together, they enjoyed countless peaceful days at the lake, where Shirley found calm, beauty, and comfort in the quiet moments they shared.

A lifelong fan of Mickey Mouse, Shirley found happiness in life’s simple and whimsical joys. Mickey’s cheerful spirit reflected her own—playful, kind, and full of a gentle magic that made everyone around her feel welcome and loved.

Shirley leaves behind a legacy defined by love, resilience, generosity, and community. Her presence will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
